You can't deny that it is much easier to don and doff your fins with a spring strap. Although your Trident fins may last forever, at some point, especially if you suffer from inflexibility, you will be wrenching on your strap to put your fin on and your spring will either fail you, or simply will have had enough with your abuse and will decide not to return to its original form.
